In today’s rapidly urbanizing world, cities face mounting challenges—from uncontrolled expansion and land degradation to the urgent need for sustainable development. As a Lecturer at Cairo University and a former JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow in Japan, I’ve spent nearly two decades at the intersection of research, teaching, and practice, focusing on land-use change, urban forecasting, and remote sensing applications.

Whether simulating urban growth in Delhi, assessing SDG progress in Saudi cities, or mapping peri-urban transitions in Egypt, my work combines data-driven insight with a deep understanding of regional dynamics. My aim is to support informed decision-making for more resilient and equitable urban futures.

Let’s connect if you’re passionate about urban sustainability, spatial analytics, or collaborative research that makes a difference on the ground
