Atomic Lab (https://atomic-lab.org/) at the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories, Boston seeks a highly skilled and motivated senior research assistant (research scientist). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our research efforts through the application of mass/spectral cytometry, ICS assays, and the development of automated workflows using robotic platforms.
Responsibilities:
Perform mass/spectral cytometry and ICS assays.
Develop automated workflow using robotic platforms.
Lab automation.
Human samples processing
Experimental tech development
Selection criteria:
Essential:
A Ph.D. in a relevant field or an MSc with a minimum of four additional years of experience in working with cytometry applications, human samples processing and experimental tech development in human immunology.
Demonstrated experience in mass/spectral cytometry protocols development and lab automation protocols development.
Experienced user of CyTOF or Aurora, Cytek.
Experience in using robotic platforms to automate lab assays.
Proficiency in tools used in cytometry data processing and analysis.
Experience that demonstrates the ability to follow relevant state-of-the-art techniques in the field.
Demonstrated experience in good communication and collaboration skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and willingness to work with human sample analysis.
Desirable:
Ability to drive scientific support projects together with a continuous development mindset.
Experience in project management and working in scientific environments supported by strong oral and written skills.
