Atomic Lab (https://atomic-lab.org/) at the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories, Boston seeks a highly skilled and motivated senior research assistant (research scientist). The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing our research efforts through the application of mass/spectral cytometry, ICS assays, and the development of automated workflows using robotic platforms.

 Responsibilities:

  • Perform mass/spectral cytometry and ICS assays.

  • Develop automated workflow using robotic platforms.

  • Lab automation.

  • Human samples processing

  • Experimental tech development

Selection criteria:

Essential:

  • A Ph.D. in a relevant field or an MSc with a minimum of four additional years of experience in working with cytometry applications, human samples processing and experimental tech development in human immunology.

  • Demonstrated experience in mass/spectral cytometry protocols development and lab automation protocols development.

  • Experienced user of CyTOF or Aurora, Cytek.

  • Experience in using robotic platforms to automate lab assays.

  • Proficiency in tools used in cytometry data processing and analysis.

  • Experience that demonstrates the ability to follow relevant state-of-the-art techniques in the field.

  • Demonstrated experience in good communication and collaboration skills.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and willingness to work with human sample analysis.

Desirable:

  • Ability to drive scientific support projects together with a continuous development mindset.

  • Experience in project management and working in scientific environments supported by strong oral and written skills.
